Pennypincher I agree with you view because i have also read somewhere that if you find it difficult to enjoy profound sleep then it is better to indulge in some work rather than tossing and turning in the bed, for it turns you drowsy.

I suffer from insomnia very often. I have found the best way to beat it is to go to bed at your normal time, but if you cannot get to sleep get up and leave the bedroom, watch tv, read, do any thing for 30minutes to an hour. if it does not work repeat the process.
the important thing is to get up in the morning at your normal time, do not oversleep or try to make up the lost sleep. after a few (sometimes several)days of this, your body will adjust itself to a normal sleep wake cycle. only use sleeping aids if you have too. Do not take naps during the day or drink any caffinated beerages after 5pm. Just what works for me.
